Pre-teens and teens are known for being sleepy, and now researchers are strongly suggesting that naptimes should be worked into each school day for middle-schoolers.
University of Denver researchers found kids who napped five to seven days a week had:
- Sustained attention
- Better nonverbal reasoning ability
- Better spatial memory
The optimal nap time is between 30 and 60 minutes, but researchers also suggest that the students shouldn't nap after 4 p.m.
