It's Prince Week!
Several music events are planned to observe the second anniversary of the Minneapolis music superstar's death on April 21st.
Some of the events include:
- A three day Prince symposium starting today at the University of Minnesota
- A viewing of Prince: Live on the Big Screen at the Target Center on Friday night
For the second straight year, Paisley Park will offer tours, panel discussions with Prince associates and live performances by Sheila E, Shelby J and fDeluxe, also known as the Family, as part of Celebration 2018.
According to the park's website, "CELEBRATION 2018, will honor the unique life and legacy of the prodigiously talented cultural icon Prince Rogers Nelson. Taking place between April 19-22 at Prince’s historic home and recording sanctuary outside Minneapolis, the event will welcome fans from around the world into an inspired environment of live music, panel discussions and special presentations highlighting Prince’s tremendous talent, influence and importance as a composer, musician, producer, live performer and filmmaker."
