Miami Officers Charged In Domestic Violence Disputes

Two City of Miami Police officers are finding themselves on the wrong side of the law -- both facing serious charges after authorities say they were involved in domestic violence incidents.

Miami Police Officer Joey Diaz turned himself in after. Officials say he pushed and choked his wife Monday night during an argument outside their home.

Department officials confirmed Diaz's arrest via Twitter. He faces a charge of battery.

According to an arrest report, 33-year-old Diaz was arguing with his wife outside their home. The law enforcer allegedly pushed and grabbed his wife by the throat and applied pressure to her neck.

The victim said that she experienced difficulty breathing as a result.

Nearly two weeks earlier, Miami Police Officer Kyle Centeno was charged with a similar crime.

Miami Officer, Girlfriend Arrested Following Domestic Incident

The officer allegedly put his girlfriend in handcuffs and into his patrol car after she hit him

Officials said Centeno handcuffed his girlfriend and put her in the back of his squad car during a fight.

Both officers have been relieved of duty with pay.
