They may have lost on the field, but Hollywood Hills High's backup quarterback wins for all girls.

The coach put Holly Neher in last night in the fourth quarter when her Spartans were down 21-0 to Hallandale High Chargers.

She threw a touchdown in her first pass, not only in this game, but her entire varsity tackle football career.

She enters Broward County's record books as the first female to record a touchdown.

Back in 2012 another girl broke the Broward football gender barrier when she played quarterback for South Plantation.
