250 Miami-Dade police officers have a meeting next week with the Police Director.

They've learned their jobs are on the chopping block under the County Mayor's proposed budget.

About 150 other civilian police employees are also facing pink slips.



The mayor claims he wants to negotiate with the police union to reduce the number of layoffs, but the president of the Dade Police Benevolent Association says he hasn't had any communication with the mayor's office since he sent an offer on July 28th.
