It's an auction like no other taking place in Miami Beach this weekend.

The U.S. Marshals service is holding a National Jewelry Sale preview Thursday at the Miami Beach Convention Center, putting up millions of dollars worth of fine jewels and watches.

Jason Martinez with the U-S Marshals Service says the goods were seized from federal crime cases.

"Around $8.3 Million worth of gold," says Martinez, "silver bullion, we've got watches, we've got rings, we've got diamonds."

Proceeds will go toward victims of crimes and supplement law enforcement programs.

"We've got quite a few gold bars and coins that we're anticipating going between $100,000 to $300,000 each," adds Martinez, "We've got a 5.5 carat diamond."

The preview takes place from 11am-4pm at the Convention Center located at 1901 Convention Center Drive Room B118 in Miami Beach.

Friday's auction kicks off at 10am, and there will be a live simulcast via the web.
