UPDATE 8/23 8 PM ADVISORY

Tropical Depression #4 is impacting the Turks and Caicos Islands and the southeastern Bahamas.

Little has changed for the system, which is still packing maximum sustained winds of 35 MPH. Its movement has slowed somewhat as it rumbles towards the northwest at 11 MPH.

The National Hurricane Center's official forecast cone remains virtually unchanged. The official forecast upgrades the system to Tropical Storm Cristobal sometime Saturday night into Sunday morning. It could develop into a hurricane on Tuesday.

As of 8:00 PM, South Florida remains outside the forecast cone. However, forecasters say this is still a tricky system and South Floridians should remain vigilant.
