Three people are nabbed for stealing more than 2-million-dollars from the Miami-Dade Aviation Department.

Prosecutors say the three ran a club for passengers who were on layover at Miami International Airport and embezzeled money from airlines that was supposed to go to the Aviation department.

Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez-Rundle says they were not shy with how they spent the money.

"$550,000 nearly went to pay their American Express bill," adds Fernandez-Rundle, "about $255,000 went to pay their mortgage properties.

All three are receiving a million dollar bond each.
