WIOD's Travel Editor Peter Greenberg says get ready for a very busy summer travel season, in spite of higher travel costs - particularly on airlines.

Greenberg says three major things to be aware of, particularly if you're flying for vacation this.

1.)  Expect about a 14% increase in fares over last summer.

2.)  Expect fewer seats available, destinations and even airports.

3.)  Booking early since the load factor from May to September will be
extremely high and sale fares extremely rare.

Depending on where you're heading, remember the old maxim to maximize your vacation experience:  "Take half as many clothes and twice as much money".
