Believe it or not, Florida has the best roads in the country.

The American Society of Civil Engineering finds the Sunshine State at the top of just about every quality test. Only 4% of the state's nearly 122,000 miles of public roads are considered in poor condition, and only 17% of our bridges are labeled deficient or obsolete.

Scientists credit our good weather, amount of toll roads and the fact that our gas tax is about 36-cents per gallon, one of the highest in the nation.
