Comedy pros across the country and here in South Florida are having a hard time to find the words in talking about the death of Robin Williams.
Williams was known for his kinetic and electrifying energy during his performances.
He got his start as an eccentric stand-up comedian, which is still influencing comics and improv actors here in South Florida.
Peter Mir Co-Owns the Impromedy venue "Artistic Vibes" in the Falls and says Williams changed the game for comedy and acting.
"From Good Morning Vietnam to Dead Poets Society, he had an incredible range. And it really showed that comedians do have that duality," says Mir, "(Comedians) are able to more than just make people laugh."
Mir says Williams' comedic timing is an influence in Mir's career as well as the career of current comedy kings like Steve Carell, Jim Carrey, and Steven Colbert.
"Kinetic and contagious," is how Mir described Williams style. "Absolutely everybody would be drawn into what they're doing. That level of thinking on your feet and having the mind go as fast as it can."
Robin Williams died at the age of 63.
