Summer in South Florida means some of the most impressive thunderstorms you will ever see - loaded with wind, torrential rains and dangerous lightning.
We lead the country in the number of lightning strikes each year and unfortunately the number of deaths and injuries related to them.
Robert Molleda says when thunderstorms hit - get out of the way, the best place is inside a fully enclosed building.
Molleda also says if you're stuck in a car, stay there - unless its a convertible - its a relatively safe alternative.
