Florida's two senators are demonstrating solidarity with South Florida's Venezuelan community.

Putting bi-partisan politics aside, Republican Marco Rubio and Democrat Bill Nelson visited El Arepazo 2 restaurant in Doral together to discuss the Venezuelan crisis with local leaders.

And, Rubio announced the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will hold hearings on the ongoing protests in the South American nation.

Further, Nelson has asked the Organization of American States to investigate human rights abuses, as the demonstrations have turned violent and have claimed at least 40 lives due to the unrest.

It's been two months since the start of demonstrations by those upset about rising inflation, crime, and food shortages.
