Florida's education system continues improving.

That's the conclusion of a guide released by Florida TaxWatch.

Bob Nave, Director of the TaxWatch Center for Educational Performance and Accountability, says one of the top accolades for the Sunshine State is the value of our colleges and universities.

Florida has the second-best value in the nation for in-state tuition.

Nave also says Florida is closing the achievement gap, doing well in comparison to other states when it comes to reading test scores.

Another notable statistic is that Florida ranks third in the country for the number of students in kindergarten through 8th grade.
