Covered signs on Miami highways will soon reveal directions to the Port Miami tunnel.
Construction on the route that was dug using a huge drill through the bottom of Biscayne Bay is almost done.
The Florida Department of Transportation expects the tunnel to open by the end of May after four years of construction that began in May of 2010.
Trucks and cars will have nonstop direct access to the port through the tunnel.
The access route is designed to alleviate traffic tie-ups in Miami.
Drivers heading to Port Miami can get to the tunnel from several major roadways.
