A mental health technician is out of a job and facing elderly neglect charges after she's accused of throwing a schizophrenic patient into a room, turning out the lights and refusing to answer his screams for help for nearly an hour.

The 62-year-old South Florida State Hospital patient ended up with broken bones and lots of bruises.

Debra Judge-Thomas says she's innocent.

The Pembroke Pines hospital isn't commenting.

The victim's family is considering suing.
