The Florida Panthers are in the market for a new coach to get them back in the playoffs.  Interim coach Peter Horachek is gone after taking over in November for Kevin Dineen.

General Manager Dale Tallon is seeking candidates with NHL coaching experience this offseason.  He is looking to have someone in place by June's draft.

Despite some late season improvement, Horachek finished his time with the Panthers 26-36-4.  Ultimately, Florida was 29th out of 30 NHL teams this past season.

The next head coach will be the 13th in franchise history and will look to turn around a team that has gone to the playoffs just once in the past 13 seasons.
