Forget compound florescent light bulbs and insulation, there's a better way to save on your energy bill.

A new study finds Floridians who professionally install window film can cut cooling costs by as much as 30%.

John Parker with the International Window Film Association says it's the way to go.

"Internal and external window film save more energy per dollar spent than typical retrofit features." says Parker.

The study also finds that Floridians spend about 40% more than their U-S counterparts on electric bills, using more than 4-times the national average for air conditioning.
