Mother Of South Florida Man Being Held By ISIS Makes Emotional Plea

The South Florida mom of an American hostage being held captive by ISIS makes an emotional plea for his release.

In a video to the terror group, Shirley Sotloff of Pinecrest says her son-freelance journalist Steven Sotloff-deserves to be set free.

She says to the ISIS leader "You can grant amnesty.  I ask you to please release my child.  I ask you to use your authority to spare his life"

She goes on to say, "I want what every other mother wants.  To live to see her children's children, I plead with you to grant me this."

She also begs the leader not to punish her son for things he can't control.

Sotloff disappeared in Syria a year ago.  Since then, his mom hasn't commented on the case after being told by ISIS her son would be killed if she went public.

But Sotloff's captors identified him as the next hostage to be killed after the execution of his cellmate James Foley.
