Help for Venezuelan protesters is on the way, courtesy of Miami-Dade teachers.

United Teachers of Dade President Fedrick Ingram says they've set up a collection for humanitarian aid supplies in every public school across the county.

The effort is meant to support Venezuelan students in their stand for justice and freedom.

Anti-government protests have been going on in the South American country for over three months now.

The struggle has left over 40 casualties, and the teachers say students there should be supported and respected.

A packing event for the supplies took place.

The teachers union members hope to have everything shipped by the end of the week and delivered to Venezuela early next week.
