Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez is hosting the first budget town hall meeting tonight at 6:00 PM Aventura City Hall.

This comes a day after Gimenez held a budget town hall meeting on Facebook and Twitter.

Many of the questions revolved around negotiations with the police union, which claims Gimenez's budget will decimate their ranks. Up to 400 Miami-Dade Police Department employees could lose their jobs.

In all, there will be six budget town hall meetings taking place throughout the county over the next three weeks:

Thursday, Aug. 14 - Aventura City Hall, 19200 West Country Club Drive - 6:00 PM

Thursday, Aug. 19 - Florida City City Hall, 404 West Palm Drive - 6:00 PM

Thursday, Aug. 21 - Little Haiti Cultura Center, 212 NE 59 Terrace, Miami - 6:00 PM

Tuesday, Aug. 26 - Palmetto Bay Village Hall, 9705 East Hibiscus Street - 6:00 PM
