The Miami Dolphins announced Tuesday that the team will partner with the AARP Foundation to help the elderly in South Florida.

The team announced that it is the first National Football League organization to American Association of Retired Persons to assist with income, hunger, housing, and isolation issues that affect the older community in the area.

Miami Dolphins President Tom Garfinkel said there will be year-round events to serve the 50-plus-aged members of the community.

In fact, the team will host a meal-packing event September 20th that is expected to feed one million people.

In addition to this partnership with the foundation, former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino is the AARP's men's life expert.
