Climate change the topic of discussion in Miami Beach Tuesday.

In recognition of the 44th anniversary of Earth Day -- scientists, climatologists, and political big shots will be discussing state and local government adaptation plans to possible environmental changes.

South Florida is in danger of rising tides which could drown the area within the next century.

Broward Commissioner Kristin Jacobs is testifying at the hearing and says Florida has recorded between five and right inches of sea level rise in the last 50 years.

The hearing takes place at Miami Beach City Hall at 10 AM.
