Even though the future of medical marijuana in Florida will be decided by the voters in November, plenty of people are already preparing for its arrival.
That's because the National Cannabis Industry Association is holding a marijuana conference at the Club in Emerald Hills in Hollywood Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. to discuss the future of the marijuana industry in Florida.
Event organizer Robert Platshorn says all are welcome...
"Doctors who plan to write for and recommend medical marijuana," says Platshorn, "People who want to open dispensaries, there's a lot of people in this state who want to be growers."
It's a way for people to understand the legalities of the issue if it passes in November.
Governor Rick Scott opposes the amendment, but early polling shows many Floridians are in support of it.
