A man who PLANNED to jump off a bridge for fun ended up in the hospital when he hit a boat on the way to the water.

The man and other friends were reportedly jumping off the railroad bridge at the Dania Cut Off Canal, but didn't see the boat coming.

He hit it first, bouncing into the water.  He then floated away to the north bank of the cut off where a fire-rescue teams used a basket to get him out of the water.

Remarkably he was only slightly injured and remained conscious while Broward Fire-Rescue got him to the hospital.
