Expect the highways to be packed this weekend as travelers hit the road for Labor Day.
Triple-A spokesperson Mark Jenkins says they're expecting the busiest Labor Day travel weekend since 2008. There are 1.7 million travelers expected -about 85-percent traveling by car.
Jenkins says Labor Day is not quite as busy for summer travel as 4th of July weekend, but it's on par with Memorial Day.
Triple-A credits lower gas prices and rising disposable income as factors for the boost.
