UPDATE: 9/2 5:00 am
Cops, Coast Guard and fish and wildlife officials are relaxing a bit after stepped up enforcement on the waters all holiday weekend long.
As of last evening, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says no arrests were made on Labor Day itself, but four were taken to jail on Sunday.
Three were for boating under the influence and the fourth was for getting into a fight on a sandbar off Key Biscayne.
Labor Day is one of the most popular boating days of the year on Biscayne Bay.
Law enforcement will be all over the hottest spots on the bay, making sure everyone is enjoying themselves responsibly. The U.S. Coast Guard, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation officers and several police departments from all throughout South Florida are teaming up to patrol the bay today.
Authorities will be on the lookout for boating under the influence, speeding, and safety violations.
At least three boaters have been arrested this weekend.
