Another Rothstein guilty plea...

The former chief financial officer of convicted Ponzi schemer Scott Rothstein's law firm is the latest of his former associates to plead guilty in the billion dollar fraud.

Irene Shannon pleading guilty to a conspiracy charge that carries a maximum five-year prison sentence. Sentencing for is set for August.

Prosecutors say she was involved in money laundering and a check-kiting scheme to keep the scam afloat.

Rothstein is serving 50-years.

Shannon's plea comes a day after a Boca Raton attorney who participated in Rothstein's $1.2-billion Ponzi scheme, Christina Kitterman, was sentenced after a jury convicted her of wire fraud.

She also is facing up to five years in prison.

Kitterman posed as a Florida Bar official in a conference call with nervous investors.
