Seventy-three percent of Americans say they are not more inclined to invest in the stock market now.

New research by South Florida-based Bankrate.com reveals the statistic is true across all age groups and income levels.

Bankrate Senior Financial Analyst Greg McBride says most Americans say they are not yet feeling confident enough in the market, and that is despite low interest rates on cash and fixed income alternative investments, record stock market highs, and market returns exceeding 30 percent in 2013.
