Lavonte David

Miami native & Tampa Bay Buccaneer Lavonte David hosted his annual FREE “Fear to Fail” Backpack & School Supply Giveback at Miami Northwestern Senior High School Friday night.  The NFL linebacker gave away over 300 backpacks.

“Fear to Fail” Lavonte David’s mantra, symbolizes his three Ps’ for life: preparation, position and perseverance. In collaboration with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami, Lavonte hopes this giveback will provide undeserved, inner-city students an opportunity for a fair start for a new school year. By preparing them with the necessary school supplies and resources, students will be placed in a position for success through their own perseverance.

David played high school football for Miami Northwestern before a fantastic college football career at the University of Nebraska. He was drafted by the Buccaneers in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
